Olympus XA2+Y2 results
In my previous posts, I showcased my Olympus XA2 grip with a filter holder. I've finally had the chance to take it out for a spin, and I must say, it's been amazing. Initially, I found it a bit odd with half of the viewfinder obstructed, making me question my decision.
But I decided to push through and focus on the experience, finding joy in shooting from the hip. Just aiming in the general direction and snapping away became quite enjoyable. Even my daughter got in on the action and took some shots.
For development, I used Kentmere 100 film with Bellini FX6a, also known as Bellini Mono. It's a monobath developer, and in my opinion, it works really well. The development time is around 8 minutes and 35 seconds, which is typical for 100-speed films like Kentmere and Fomapan.
Now, onto the results. I noticed a significant improvement in contrast compared to some of my previous images. The skies are vibrant, and the whites are crisp and sharp. I particularly love the tone and grain in these images; they really add depth and character.
Let's take a closer look at the photos and let me know what you think.
