My Favourite Camera ....Just Got Cooler

The Olympus XA2 is one of the most iconic camera from the 1980's.

It's also one of my all time favourites and has produced so many amazing images for me. With it's f3.5 Zuiko lens and easy zone focusing, not to mention it's almost silent shutter, this camera is the king of the streets.

My only gripe is also it's greatest feature... It's size. With my clumsy big hand and this tiny ninja camera I sometimes feel it is difficult to use.

Now my idea was to using my 3d printer build a extension grip to help with this issue.

Let's look at the design.

Designed in Tinkercad and all done with a pair of calipers, not bad for someone with no 3d design experience. 

In the design I also added the U shape at the front which you will see why in the other photo's. (But you probably guessed already)

Final Result

So after so test prints and a few failures I created the below. The U shape on the front is a filter holder for 55mm filters.
